The silly season has come and gone for another year and we trust all had a happy and safe Christmas with family and friend’s .There is still plenty to go for the summer with two major club events Australia Day and the Fishing detailed below. Join in the fun and support your club.
CLUB MOORINGS – BURGEES DISPLAY
Can all members please fly their Burgee when on the club Moorings this enables NSW maritime to know that you are entitled to be on the mooring. If you require a New Burgee please contact the Secretary they are free. As the club boats have been getting bigger we have started to upgrade our moorings to suit, the ones in North Arm Cove are now capable of holding boats to 80ft. As part of this upgrade the positions have been changed marginally.
CHRISTMAS FUNCTION
A good turn up of members boarded Moonshadow at 7pm the weather was lousy but the company was great, the bar was a little overwhelmed at first but eventually caught up. The boat headed out into the Bay with the wind blowing and the rain coming down. The prawn’s oysters and the rest of the food was excellent. A good night was had by all.

The warm weather has arrived and so have the club nomads from up north . AUSTRALIA DAY - WEDNESDAY JANUARY
26th
Get ready for another great Australia Day at North Arm Cove. Rubber Duck Race, Pie eating and Beer Drinking Competitions and much more. Decorate the boat. Bring the family and friends.
FISHING TOURNAMENT SATURDAY FEBRUARY 5th
The Fish have
arrived early with ANARCHY, APACHE, BLUWATER, DIVERSION,
GUNRUNNER, KAOS and LONE WOLF all getting amongst them; several
AUSTRALIAN records for MARLIN capture have been achieved by club
boats full details in next newsletter when they are officially
confirmed. This year the competition will be fierce as we have
some new blood in the fishing fleet. Ted Doran has gone to
great expense (a new fishing boat) to win this year, we have a
new member Greg Plunkett (LONE WOLF) who caught a heap of fish
last season as well as the usual suspects the cream of the game
fishing fleet ANARCHY, DIVERSON, GUNRUNNER and SHELBY. Previous
winners have been Frosty 2007, Bluewater 2009, The Force 2010,
Shelby 2011.
FUEL
Remember if you need fuel coordinate with the Club Secretary Colin Brown and get your super discount from dAlbora. The system is working well.
MYALL LAKES
As members would be aware there has been a great deal of concern about the future of the pump out barge in the Myall Lakes. At this time we can report that the contract will be renewed for a period of two years and option of 1 year to the new owners Kerry and Linda Mackintosh. We welcome this announcement and will keep members informed of any changes. The old system and contact numbers for the service remain unchanged.

are great and prices remain unchanged but the price for the
model is still being determined.
